Rose Shepherd is an Indigenous photographer from Washington state. She is often inspired by the magical qualities of the Pacific Northwest and influenced by it’s beauty.
Rose’s journey in photography began in the seventh grade when her parents gave her a point-and-shoot 35mm film camera for her thirteenth birthday. Twenty-three years later, Rose enrolled in her first photography class at the Evergreen State College, where she fell deeply in love with the medium. She has a lifelong goal of opening her own photographic studio/gallery where her and her husband sell film, used cameras and gear, and offer photography classes to their community.
